Since the hubs and I haven’t been back to Vegas in a few years, we seized the opportunity to celebrate ourselves with a nice dinner. If you want to talk about analysis paralysis, just try figuring out where to eat in Vegas. Your choices are truly endless. I stumbled upon this restaurant by reading some Vegas restaurant blog.

The chef/owner Daniel Brasserie is a world renowned chef with restaurants in New York, London and Shanghai. His first venture into Vegas was a place in the Wynn, but that closed down and he opened this place in the Venetian.

We started with the pate made from pork. It was heavenly, but you can never go wrong with meat and fat. It was served with a side frisée that was tangy and really balanced out the richness of the pate.

For my meal I had to try the butter poached halibut served with roasted fingerling potatoes and a pea purée. Normally I don’t like peas and I wouldn’t have ordered this had I noticed it on the menu. But I’m glad I didn’t because it was the best pea purée I’ve ever had and probably will ever have. The halibut was tender and seasoned well.

For dessert, we shared a molten chocolate cake and I had a cappuccino. Loved the cake because the center was the right consistency and still warm. And you can’t really go wrong with a cappuccino.
