I have to admit that I am of a bit of a food snob when it comes to Italian food. I avoid most chain restaurants because I always seem to find an alarming large quantity of sodium in any given entree. Although I’m not sure if Brio is any better in that respect, I can at least find some solace in knowing that I ate something really special.
It was an unusual night because I also ordered an adult beverage that consisted of vodka and lemonade. I didn’t realize the effect of that concoction until sampling the lobster bisque. It was thick, like a bisque should be. However, although tasty, I did have to stop myself from getting a bit tipsy from soup. I will admit I am very much a lightweight, but one of my “I got drunk” stories (which I think equates to one) really shouldn’t start with lobster bisque.
For my entree I ordered the salmon and it was a well cooked piece of fish. It had some crispy edges as well as some delicious side veggies with this balsamic reduction. I would have to rate this as one of the better salmon’s I’ve eaten in a while.
